Born in the Netherlands, took his first images at the age of 7, influenced by his hobby photographer father.
At the age of 18 he went to the School for Photography in the Hague the Netherlands today known as Royal Academy of Art (KABK).
After 4 years he graduated and worked for Amsterdam based photographer Will van der Vlugt, assisting him all over the world.
Tired working as an assistant and willing to start his own career he bought a one way ticket to Brazil, where he lived and worked in São Paulo for 2 years before returning to the Netherlands accompanied by his future wife Tânia Innocenti Flamínio.
In 1995 he started his own studio in Eindhoven and worked mostly for advertising agencies. Once again he travelled a lot on assignments before his return to Brazil in 2012.
During those years he never failed to make his personal work.
His work is best described as Straight Photography.
